Today the Lady Trojans to on their cross town rival Gooding.  Going into today’s game Gooding and Wendell we’re tied in standings but Gooding had the 3rd place due to when they last meet with Gooding winning.  This was a must win for Wendell to take over 3rd place going into Districts on Saturday.  This was also our senior night.  Both teams played well at half it was 0-0.  Wendell came out focused in the second half, knowing that they need to make something happen.  Gooding scores 10 minutes into the half.  Wendell responded 10 minutes later when Yoselin Acevedo scored off a rebound off the Gooding keeper.  In stoppage time, Kyla Texeira pushed up and passed a through ball, Yoselin connected to put the ball in the goal.  Wendell ahead 2-1. And that is how the game ended.  Congrats to all the players but especially our Seniors Yadira Alvarez, Noemy Acevedo, Maria Acevedo, Gracie Emery and Kyla Texeira.  Districts start on Saturday at home, time to be determined.  Great Game Ladies.  GO TROJANS.
