Today your Lady Trojans traveled to Buhl to take on the Lady Indians.  This was the opening game of Conference play.  At game time the temperature was in the high 80's.  Buhl had kick off in the first half.  Wendell dominated the entire first half.  Attacking Buhl's half of the field.  In total the Lady Trojans had 6 shots on goal but just couldn't hit the back of the net.   At half time adjustments were made.  In the second half Wendell once again dominated the half.  About 10 minutes into the second half  Senior Yadira Alvarez scored the first goal of the game on a set free kick.  Yadira's free kick found the back of the net in the corner.  Five minutes later Freshman Yoselin Acevedo found the back of the net on a rebound off the keeper.  Score is now 2 - 0 in favor of Wendell.  After the hydration break the girls came out strong.  Wendell once again attacked Buhl's half of the field a shot taken by Wendell rebounded out, Senior Maria Acevedo passed the ball to Senior Gracie Emery who took a shot from the left corner of the box, and the ball hit the net.  Once again Wendell continued to attack Buhl's half of the field.  There was a scramble in Buhl's goal box, Junior Liz Alvarado was there to kick it in.  Minutes later the final whistle of the game and Wendell came away with a 4 -0 win to start the season.  Freshman goalkeeper Kasilda Arreola had a great game and did the entire team.  GO TROJANS!!!.
