Today the Lady Trojans played against Kimberly at 4 pm.  Wendell knew this was going to be a tough game against the number 2 in the conference.  Going into today's game Wendell sat at number 4.  Gracie Emery played keeper for today's game.  Early into the first half Kimberly scored the first goal of the game and turns out it was the only goal of the game.  Wendell did not give up and responded with a goal by Yosiln Acevedo.   Both teams battled back and forth.  Late into the first half Maria Jimenez passed a ball out from the goal box to  Yadira Guzman told a shot from outside the 18 and ball went into the right upper corner of the goal.  The score was now Wendell 2 - Kimberly 1.  Late into the first half Maria Acevedo fouled a Kimberly player which resulted in a penalty kick.  Kimberly took the kick which hit the cross bard and Gracie pounced on the ball. The score remains this way through the second half with both teams giving it all they had to try and score.  Kimberly was a great opponent.  Next the Lady Trojans travel to Filer to take on the Wildcats on Thursday, game time is 5:45 pm.  Thanks to everyone that came out and Go Trojans!!!
