The Wendell Lady Trojans edged out the Kimberly Bulldogs to for a tie for second place in the conference.  Early in the game Wendell was awarded a Penalty Kick in the Kimberly box.  Sophia Martinez was able to convert on the PK and put Wendell ahead 1 to 0.  Kimberly responded with a goal of their own.  Wendell kept up the attack throughout the entire game.  Kimberly continued to push into Wendell's half of the field.  It was a great game by both teams playing physical and going for every ball.  Sophie was able to score another goal from a Free Kick.  Kyla added 2 more goal assisted by Yadiare Alvarez and Maria Acevedo.  Nadia Guadarrama scored off a corner kick from Yadiara Alvarez.  Kimberly also scored two more goals.  Next Wendell will take on the #1 team (Community School) on Wednesday at 4 pm, and then turn around on Saturday and take on Kimberly again (this is the game that was postponed early in the season.  Saturday's game will be at 11 am in Kimberly.  Thank you to everyone who came out and cheered on the girls soccer team.  It was greatly appreciated.  GO TROJANS.
