I cannot explain how much this job means to me. I am excited and honored to be the Head Football Coach at Wendell High School. Hello everyone, my name is Michael Konrad and I am a teacher and coach at Wendell High School. Although this will be my second year serving the Wendell community I feel at home.

I grew up in Rupert, Idaho and attended Minico High School. I played football, basketball, and golf while attending school. I played football for Dr. Timothy Perrigot, our current superintendent, while at Minico. I consider him a mentor and lifelong friend.

Upon my high school graduation I earned a golf scholarship at Montana State University at Billings (MSUB). I graduated from MSUB in December of 2009 and I have been teaching high school ever since. While teaching I have earned several other college degrees. In August of 2013 I earned my Master’s degree and in August of 2018 I earned my doctorate degree. Education plays a central role in my life and I believe it can influence the trajectory of life itself.

I am a fortunate person. I married my wife in the summer of 2010 and together we have built our lives. We have our daughter Aubree who is two and we are expecting our son in early November. My family is my backbone and I love them dearly.

As the Head Football Coach I want your child to enjoy the game. Football is the ultimate team sport and I would like for it to teach them the values of commitment, teamwork, and service. The one value I will stress all year is that of hard work. I am a firm believer that anyone can work hard. You do not need talent, you do not need the latest gear, you just have to be willing to work hard. If my players are hard workers, then I believe we can be a successful team.

Once again I appreciate you putting your trust in me and my coaching staff. We take a lot of pride and confidence that we will do the best job possible. I want to make sure we are successful but in order to do that we all must work towards the same vision.
